About the event

Meaghan Hoxey will be hosting this event! Please reach out to her directly if you have any questions! (909-450-4738)

Some ideas:

-kids can show us a demonstration (I would limit it to just 2-3 minutes for the most peer engagement)

-share a story and/or illustrations they have done

-set up a blanket with a craft, art project, science experiment you have worked on.

-maybe they have worked really hard on climbing trees or running really fast! We'd love to celebrate that!

This is TOTALLY (I repeat! Totally!) optional to do to attend. Spectators are encouraged and welcome! Sometimes we are in a season of supporting friends and sometimes we are in the season of needing to share our knowledge. Both are perfectly wonderful!

Some tips and expectations:

-depending on the number of projects, there will probably not be enough time to have your child teach an entire project. This is more of a showcase rather than mini lessons.

-some kids may just be interested in the freedom to play in nature. That is just as valuable! Us adults can engage with those kids eager to present if the other kids are busy playing!

-please keep these projects kid-made. While we work closely with our kids every day, this is their time to shine. Alternatively, if there is a project you are super excited about as a parent, PLEASE share too!

We will end our day spending about 10 minutes cleaning up our environment.

Additional notes: We will be at San Diegito LOWER park (not upper), which enters in between two little duck ponds, under our favoirite big and beautiful tree. Also, there are good bathrooms there! Feel free to bring a mat to sit on, and lunch/snacks so you can stay later if you wish. Finally, please know that RSVPs shown here will not include RSVPs already in the Encinitas group, where the event originated. We can't wait to have you join us!

This event has a group. You’re welcome to join the group once you register for the event.
