We are excited to organize this fun, living history field trip about the California gold rush at the Julian Mining Company. With HEC classes over for the semester, I hope that many of you can join us! Here are the details:
Activities: gold panning, sluice box, dry diggins treasure hunt, rockers/cradles, tomahawk throwing, assayer office & prize giveaway, miner’s laundry, and the mine-tunnel train ride. Everyone gets a pouch to hold and keep their gold and gemstones found throughout the day. Guides are costumed “49ers” portraying a day in the life of a miner in 1849.
Cost: $18.50 for ages 3 and up. Must make payment to Katrina no later than May 12: @Katrina-Phruksukarn (3566) or PayPal (contact.katrina@yahoo.com).

Arrive 20 minutes early to check in. The tour will start promptly at 10am, so please plan your travel time accordingly. Bring water, snacks, and lunch (there will be a 20 minute lunch break).
