Annual Not-Back-to-School Bash! (East County, Friday)

Everyone is having end of summer, back to school parties; but for us homeschoolers, the world is our classroom! Join us for our 3rd annual NOT back to school bash!! This is an all ages event. We'll have fun field games (possible games include 3-legged races, potato sack races, tug-of-war, wheel barrow races, hula hoops, water balloon battle) and a simple version of a potluck, aka "snack-luck" (finger foods). Teens are welcome to either participate or volunteer to run one of the game stations. 

We expect a large turn out and need a LOT OF HELP to pull this off. In addition to bringing a finger food to share, please click here to volunteer to run a game station or to bring supplies for the events: Sign up to bring supplies or volunteer! (Also, bring water! It is a HOT time of year, and last year we ran out. I did add it to the sign up sheet, but just in case, make sure you have some of your own.)

We are looking for someone to make the Not-Back-To-School-Sign this year. You can see the one we made 2 years ago in this event picture; last year the kids put their hand print in paint on the sign at the event; you may be creative, but we'd love for it to be big so we can hang it up and get our annual picture with it. Several families can collaborate and work together on it.

Tentative Schedule:

9:30am- Set up crew

10am- Free play, snack luck, volunteer coordination meeting

11am-12pm- Rotate through game stations

12pm- Water balloon battle (AND water balloon clean up by everyone!)

12:30pm- Popsicles

1:00pm- Clean up (everyone)
