Archaeological Center Field Trip- REGISTRATION CLOSED

Join us for a field trip to the San Diego Archaeological Center! Please read the following in detail and follow the registration instructions. Changing your RSVP status to “I’m Going” on this post does NOT reserve your spot.

Ages: 5-12

Cost: $15/student, $5 for adults, $5 for non-participating siblings

Date/Time: Wednesday, October 19th. Check in between 9:30am & 9:45am. The event will start at 10am sharp. Please plan accordingly, as it is a long drive and traffic can give you trouble. We cannot wait for people who arrive late, and we would be sad for you to miss out on some of the fun. The field trip experience is roughly 2 hours, but your fee includes access to the museum all day. Feel free to bring lunch and stay to explore!

ALL ABOUT ARCHAEOLOGY Presentation: Step into the fascinating field of archaeology! Learn what archaeology actually is, where we work, the variety of tools we use, and how we study the past here and all over the world.

MUSEUM ACTIVITIES: Archaeology Quest through 10,000 years of local history and multiple interactive exhibits such as Observe & Infer, Ceramic Reconstruction, Artifact Junction, and the new Field Excavation Lab.

EXPERIMENTAL ARCHAEOLOGY: Learn about a specific artifact class, then make your own to take home - Pottery and Pinch Pots
