Elfin Forrest - Nature Exploration (All Ages)

This nature reserve is truly a gem. We enjoy doing the mile long hike  (1/2 mile up, 1/2 mile down), then playing and chilling by the creek, hopping stones, and discovering the all the native flora and fauna. Each family can decide whether they'd like to do the hike or just hang at the creek, as we'll all end up there anyway. 

Location: Once you're driving on Harmony Grove Road, the sign for Elfin Forrest Recreational Reserve will "flag" you down.  You'll turn into the little road entering the Reserve, which winds down to the parking lot.  We'll meet at the trail head by the portapotties right next to the parking lot. If you have more than one little one, this is a great park to bring another adult to help. It is a large reserve, has a creek, and high-up-there trails. 

Some things you may like to bring to leave in the car or pack in your bag: drinking water, hats, bathing suits, possibly water shoes if you have them, maybe extra clothes, snacks/lunch, nature journals and water colors/crayons/colored pencils.
