Friday - Tide Pools - Cardiff State Beach

Come explore the tide pools with us at Cardiff State Beach! We'll be getting a very low tide on this day and time, increasing our chances of seeing cool creatures. We've spotted crabs, lobsters, and a little octopus at this location! It's also just a gorgeous spot to play and explore. 

If you have a state parking pass, you can park in the lot. Otherwise, you can  park  on Coast Highway just south of the lot (families can pretty easily walk from there).  The tide pools are a short walk along the beach just south of the parking lot. 

It will most likely be chilly, but my kids will start in bathing suits becasue they don't know how to stay dry and explore LOL.  We will bring towels and warm clothes to throw on later!  Kids can even wear a bathing suit with a warm sweater over.  Sidenote: it can be very slippery and cold on the feet -- water shoes, barefoot, any shoes you have... be ready to try something and see what happens LOL.
