This week at gameschooling we are focusing on social studies and language arts. Examples of games I'll be bringing are Scrambled States of America, Trekking the World, Scattergories, Bananagrams. I have several things for non-readers, as well: color by sight word (instead of color by number), sight word memory game, alphabet BINGO, a puzzle of the world, and a puzzle of the U.S. Feel free to bring anything that fits these catergories (but honestly, I might have enough for all of us!).
"Gameschooling" is learning through play!! Kids will have fun and not even realize they are learning. All ages are welcome, but we ask that parents closely supervise younger children to ensure that game pieces will not get lost or destroyed. You may bring toys for younger kids to play with while older siblings are engaged in the board games.
Make an immediate left when you walk through the first set of doors into the library. The community room is the first door on the left.
