About the event

Bring your lunch and lots of water! The junior rangers program is a fun step into learning more about the nature around us. You go on a little nature hunt and receive a badge after taking the ranger pledge. Booklets must be picked up at the Elfin Forest Recreational Reserve Interpretive Center Honoring Susan J Varty. We will meet right outside the center at the beginning of our hike!

Tenative: If we have enough interest we may make this into a docent led field trip as well! Learn about water conservation "kindergarten through eighth grade students are engaged in a discovery and inquiry-based program that spans the full Escondido Creek Watershed, the largest watershed in the Carlsbad Hydrologic Unit.
