Let's Explore! Ramona Grasslands Preserve

We will be heading out on the Wildflower Loop Trail.  This trail is 2 miles long over mostly flat terrain and starts approximately .5 miles from the main trailhead where we will be meeting.  Please bring plenty of water, snacks, and a lunch as we are likely pausing at a picnic area about halfway (depending on the time) to enjoy a meal together in the wilderness.  With all of the recent rain, we should see plenty of wildflowers.  We are likely to also come across grazing cattle and horseback riders.  Please remind everyone to be respectful of those we share the trail with.  There are no facilities at this location (although, there is a portapotty on the Google streetview images).  As we make our way around the back of the loop, we will find ourselves in a grove of trees.  I am told that a bald eagle is known to nest in the area.  It should be a beautiful hike out in the country!
