This area can be a tricky to find—it’s directly south of the Balboa Park Tennis Club. Type into your GPS- Morley Field Dog Park. This will bring you to the nearest parking lot. The Nature Exploration Area is behind the Balboa Tennis Club.
It’s also directly adjacent to Florida Canyon Trail. See the picture screen shot, showing parking at the dog park and meet up location at the exploration area.
Enjoy a morning playing in nature. There are some easy hiking trails if the kids are up for that. Feel free to bring a picnic, as there are plenty of nice shady areas to relax and snack :)
