About the event
The La Mesa Homeschool Collective is so excited to partner with Martin Ferreira (Thrive With Martin) to offer this 5 day outdoor course where kids will learn the following skills to inspire self-reliance: first aid, land navigation (topographical maps, compass use), basic gardening, introduction to foraging, animal husbandry, knot tying, and fishing.
DATES (May not sign up for individual days): Four Thursdays in September: Sept 8, 15, 22, and 29 from 9am to 1pm in Jamul, with a 5th day on Friday, September 30th from 6am - anytime (all day if you'd like!) at El Capitan Lake in Lakeside, where the kids will fish and put their new skills to use (Families are welcome! I know 6am is early, but it is SO worth it! The fish are biting before it gets hot and it's beautiful out there. I brought my 4 year old and he had a blast!).
