We are excited to organize this fun, living history field trip about the California gold rush at the Julian Mining Company. Here are the details:

Activities: gold panning, sluice box, dry diggins treasure hunt, rockers/cradles, tomahawk throwing, assayer office & prize giveaway, miner’s laundry, and the mine-tunnel train ride. Everyone gets a pouch to hold and keep their gold and gemstones found throughout the day. Guides are costumed “49ers” portraying a day in the life of a miner in 1849.

Cost: $18.50 for ages 3 and up. Payment instructions will be provided if space opens up for you to attend.

Arrive 20 minutes early to check in. The tour will start promptly at 10am, so please plan your travel time accordingly. Bring water, snacks, and lunch (there will be a 20 minute lunch break).
