About the event

Registration is now CLOSED for this event, as we have reached capacity.

The point of contact for this event is Katrina: 619-201-3566. Clicking RSVP does NOT reserve your spot. Please read all the of the following in detail and complete the instructions for registration. Space is limited.

We are excited to have another opportunity to participate in UCSD's free neuroscience outreach program! Volunteer PhD students will conduct an interactive lesson on the following neuroscience modules:

Building Neurons: This interactive lesson teaches the parts of a neuron and students will work together to build a giant 6-foot long neuron.

Electromyogram (EMG): A 'shocking' lesson about the brain's ability to control muscles, through a demonstration with a robotic claw.

These modules are geared towards elementary aged students. Must be at least 5 to attend; however, I believe this will be more valuable for older students. Drop off is allowed if you have younger children.

This is a free event, however a $5 deposit is required (per family) to hold your spot. Your deposit will be returned to you upon arrival at the event. Your deposit will be forfeited if you no-show. If you need to cancel your registration, please let Katrina know asap so your spot may be filled. A waitlist will be created once we hit our capacity.

This event has a group. You’re welcome to join the group once you register for the event.
