About the event
Let's meet up at the beautiful Ocean Air Community Park and use it as our gateway to explore the spectacular trails of the Carmel Mountain Preserve! This track is an open-ended trail exploration where youth and parents can wander, chat, and connect. The paths here offer a wonderful combination of gentle terrain and stunning, long-range scenic vistas across the canyons.
🗺️ Our Exploration Route
We will gather at the park first, then head straight up the steps right past the park edge onto the preserve's main trails.
For the Teens & Older Youth: The wide trails are perfect for walking shoulder-to-shoulder to chat, catch a distant glimpse of the ocean on a clear day, or observe the unique vernal pool ecosystems.
For the Littles: A great, low-pressure path to look for interesting rocks, watch for local birds, and burn off some energy in nature.
