Santa Margarita County Preserve - Water Play

Come join us for a few hours of nature play. When driving on De Luz Rd you will come to a Y in the road. Stay to the left and just after you will see the parking lot on your right hand side. I will be arriving 5 to 11am. There is NO Services. I will do my best to reach out to everyone the night before to make sure you have the right location. The trail is a 10-15 minute walk with little feet. The trail gets thick with sand at some parts, so I don’t feel strollers would work very well. If you are running late, and hey it happens heres how you can find us - 

You will see the trail information sign and the trail you use will be the one right to the Left of the sign. Be aware there is posion oak and rattlesnake. Just stay on the trail and you will be good. I have not had a sighting of rattlesnakes Yet. Bring a lunch and or snacks for your little ones AND Shoes! the ground gets HOT Towels and a blanket to sit on. You maybe also bring a few water toys. My kids like shovels, buckets and boats when coming here I plan on bringing a nature book we can try to read parts to the group or I will have it available for anyone to look at. Extra: Please bring a small bag for trash. (Dog bags work well) I like to pick up any unwanted trash I see there along with our trash we bring. It’s always better to leave nature cleaner then when you got there
