Santa Margarita Preserve, 37385 De Luz Rd, Fallbrook, CA 92028, USA
About the event
Come join us for a few hours of nature play. When
driving on De Luz Rd you will come to a Y in the
road. Stay to the left and just after you will see the
parking lot on your right hand side. I will be arriving
5 to 11am. There is NO Services. I will do my best to
reach out to everyone the night before to make sure
you have the right location. The trail is a 10-15
minute walk with little feet. The trail gets thick with
sand at some parts, so I don't feel strollers would
work very well - Update* Bob strollers can work just
be aware the more stuff you put on it the stroller will
be difficult at moments. I will say it's a good workout if your in the mood for it 😉
If you are running late and hey it happens heres how
you can find us. You will see two trails walking up to
the information sign. Both take you to the same
spot, the trail is a loop. We normally take the trail on
the right, closest to the sign. The one on the left has
an extra water crossing.
Be aware there is posion oak and rattlesnake. Just
stay on the trail and you will be good. I have not had
a sighting of rattlesnakes Yet.
Bring a lunch and or snacks for your little ones AND
Shoes! the ground gets HOT Towels and a blanket to
sit on. You maybe also bring a few water toys. My
kids like shovels, buckets, nets and boats when
coming here. I plan on bringing a nature book we
can try to read parts to
the group or I will have it available for anyone to look
at.
Extra: bring a small bag for trash. (Dog
bags work great) I like to pick up any unwanted
trash I
see there along with our trash we bring. It's always
better to leave nature cleaner then when you got
there
