Update as of Mon, 2/12: There is plenty of snow in Mt. Laguna, so we are on for the snow day!!! I was informed that each vehicle needs to purchase an Adventure Pass for the day to park in this area. It's just $5 and you can buy it online HERE ahead of time. Otherwise, there is a self-serve kiosk on site.
Valentine’s in the snow... sledding and playing!
Of course, this meet-up is weather permitting… if it's dumping snow and roads aren’t safe without chains, or there’s not much snow at all, we will play at Shadow Hill Park instead.
What to bring: Treat it like a beach day! Sunscreen (we got so burnt sledding last year!), sunglasses/snow goggles (the snow makes it painfully bright if the sun is out!), camping chairs, sleds (or we find boogie boards work great too!), snacks/lunch, water, snow gloves, buckets and shovels, a roll of toilet paper... there is usually a port-a-potty on the side of the road. But, if it’s been a busy time up there it’s not always stocked with toilet paper.
Parking is on the side of the road. You'll see a wood deck lookout on your right, we'll be around there!
