About the event
Paper Ball Run Challenge
The objective of the Paper Ball Run Challenge is to build a ball run that takes as long as possible for the ball to get from the entrance to the exit of the run. Use the link to access all the information for the challenge. There are examples of ball runs and a video to explain the challenge and lesson plans separated by grade level. (https://www.sciencebuddies.org/engineering-challenge)
Teams will have a set number of minutes to complete their build; then we will enter the timing phase. During the timing phase all construction will stop, and we will watch each team's ball runs in action and record the time. Parents, please plan to stay nearby and be ready to jump in if teams need a little extra help answering questions, and don’t forget to bring the supplies needed for the challenge. Without supplies we cannot do these challenges!
