About the event
UPDATE: As of 3/25, 8:30pm, it was brought to my attention that the library doesn't open until 12pm. I think there must have been a glitch in their reservation system that allowed me to reserve the community room during closed hours. Luckily, one of our mamas in this group has a family member that works there. The libary staff arrive at 10:40 and will allow us into the community room at that time. I'm hoping we can still stay for 2 hours, but it will depend if they have someone else using the room after us. Will find out in the morning. I apologize for the inconvenience.
The point of contact for this event is Katrina: (619) 201-3566. "Gameschooling" is learning through playing board games, dice games, assembling puzzles, building STEM and engineering kits, etc. Kids will have fun and not even realize they are learning! All ages are welcome, but we ask that parents closely supervise younger children to ensure that game pieces will not get lost or destroyed. Games are provided by attendees. Please bring a game (or several!) to share. Pokémon cards are welcome too! You may also bring toys to keep little ones entertained. Also, we will simultaneously have a teen meet up going on in the library's Teen Room (ages 12+ only).
