We are going to space!!! The Fleet Science Center hosts a monthly "The Sky Tonight." Please be aware there are two ticket time options we will be going to the 7pm showing.
WHERE: Live Planetarium Show in the Heikoff Dome Theater: June 7, 2023 - 7:00pm
WHAT IT'S ABOUT: You may know that the Moon causes the tides in the ocean of the Earth, but did you know tidal forces act on other celestial objects? Learn about the effect of tides on moons, black holes, and galaxies, too! Join us for a tour of the solar system narrated by the Fleet’s resident astronomer. Journey through the cosmos with us as we explore a new topic each month. Presentations begin with the latest news in the fields of Space Science and Astronomy, followed by an exploration of the night sky as it looks on the day of the event and closing with the topic of the month. Before or after the show, join members of the San Diego Astronomy Association on the Prado by the Bea Evenson Fountain, and take a look at the stars in the actual night sky (weather permitting) through different telescopes!
