Hey everyone!
I'm wondering if my children will be denied from a charter school if they are not vaccinated. What are your experiences? I'm looking to have my son in a program (figuring out what my options are considering that he has never been vaxxd) at least 2 days a week. Open to all thoughts on charter schools.
Does anyone know how kids can participate in team sports at a public school, through a charter. Is the V issue applied to any and all public school activities? Or if the team practices outside do you think it will still be required??
As I understand it, technically all indoor licensed school facilities require medicalization. Legally, enrichment centers are not required to do so. So any brick and mortar regular enrollment in a charter would. Any outdoor programs at a licensed facility may also be exempt. Homeschooling children do not need it to enroll in a charter but do need it to attend part-time in-person charter programs. If a parent wants to avoid the medical issue, but wants drop off programs, enrollment in a charter and and then using the charter to pay for the various enrichment centers is the way to go. There are tons of options out there depending on your area and learning needs. Do know that charters typically limit the amount of hours a week a student can pay for an enrichment center. I have had that limit placed at 20 hours before. I am not sure if that is a law or not.
Yes & no. What Jennie & Julie said. Msg me for info on an option, dep on where you live. (I am not selling anything. I do not work for a charter sch.)
You can join a charter as a homeschooler (ex: Pacific Coast Academy) and use the funds for enrichment classes (there are many core classes too). Check out https://www.homeschoolenrichmentcenters.com It’s one idea but there are many options depending on where you live.
Hey I don’t remember exactly but check out coastal in Oceanside i don’t if they need some vaccines but they didn’t need the Covid vaccine
You can always file a PSA and attend a microschool 2 days per week. Reading Reach (readingreach.org) does not require V@cc!ne$.
Hi Alicia, if you are looking for an in-person public charter school, then yes.
